One of the great pleasures in life is experiencing the work of truly gifted craftsmen. While on a wonderful vacation in grand old Europe, I was blown away by the beautiful and painstaking accomplishments of the world’s greatest artisans. One 5 or 6 hundred year old building after another was an individual, never to be replicated work of art. They simply exude in the pride and love of the craftsmen. The only work that I have seen on the North American continent that comes close and practically emulates that level of artistry is that of the Manitoba carpenters. We are so fortunate that they play such a bug part in the survival of respect for the trade.
